# Backup & transfer

Configuration export and import are available from version **1.11.52**. On older versions, use the [manual layout backup](#manual-layout-backup) below.

To move your OmniScope setup to another machine, open **Preferences > Config** and use **Export configuration...**. OmniScope creates a `.zip` archive and lets you choose which parts of the setup to include, such as settings, panel layout, keyboard shortcuts, Stream Deck mapping, saved layouts, LUTs, ICC profiles, overlays, presets, and target sets.

To restore that setup on another machine, use **Import configuration...** from the same **Config** tab and select the exported archive. OmniScope backs up the current configuration before applying the import, then restarts to load the imported setup.

Licenses, snapshots, logs, and machine-specific display profiles are not included in configuration exports.

## Manual layout backup

Each layout is also saved as an individual file on disk, so it is still straightforward to copy only your layouts manually.

The easiest way to access the layout files is to go to **Options / Open Logs**:

A new folder window opens. All saved layouts are stored in the **layouts** folder:
