# NDI sources and outputs not visible

OmniScope NDI output is not visible in NDI Studio Monitor or other apps, or OmniScope does not list NDI sources from the network.

## OmniScope NDI output doesn't appear in other apps (macOS)

**Symptom:** NDI Output is enabled in OmniScope, but the stream never shows up in NDI Studio Monitor, NDI Video Monitor, Resolve, OBS, or other NDI receivers on the network.

**OmniScope 1.11.54 on macOS:** this version has a known issue where OmniScope sends NDI video but never announces it on the network, so other apps can't find it. This is fixed in **1.11.55**.

1. Update OmniScope to 1.11.55 or later (**Help → Check for Updates**, or see [Downloads](/nobe-omniscope/installation/downloads.md)).
2. Restart OmniScope and enable NDI Output again.

If you can't update right away, add the OmniScope computer's IP address manually on the receiving machine: open **NDI Access Manager** → **Remote Sources** and add the IP. The OmniScope output then appears in NDI receivers on that machine.

**Other versions:** check that macOS lets OmniScope use the local network: **System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network** → make sure **NobeOmniScope** is turned on. Also make sure both computers are on the same subnet and no firewall blocks NDI traffic.

NDI Output requires OmniScope Pro. See [NDI® Output](/nobe-omniscope/outputs/ndi-output.md).

## OmniScope doesn't list any NDI sources

**Symptom:** NDI sources that are visible in NDI Studio Monitor don't appear in OmniScope's input list.

1. Open **Preferences** (wrench icon in the toolbar) → **Sources** tab.
2. Under **Device discovery**, make sure **Disable NDI discovery** is **unchecked**.
3. Restart OmniScope.

This option skips NDI discovery entirely, so no NDI sources are listed while it's enabled. It's meant for facilities that block multicast or peer discovery on their network.

If discovery is enabled and sources still don't appear, check the macOS **Local Network** permission described above, and that the sender and OmniScope are on the same subnet. See [NDI® Input](/nobe-omniscope/sources/ndi-r.md) for setup details.
