# Getting started

## Requirements

* iPad running iPadOS 16.4 or later.
* 64-bit processor and Metal support.
* TestFlight installed, with access to the closed beta.
* Approximately 45 MB download, plus installation space.

An M-series iPad is not required for single-input monitoring or Live Pack's focus peaking, white-balance probe and loudness metering. This build does not support iPhone.

**Only dual input requires a supported M-series iPad.** Dual input is a Live Pack feature and is currently disabled in release builds while device and source combinations are being qualified. Open the **PRO** or **DEMO** badge and check **Live Pack Compatibility** before purchasing: it shows hardware eligibility separately from availability in your build. An eligible iPad does not enable a feature that is disabled in the build. New or unrecognized models remain unavailable until qualified.

## Install the beta

Individual inputs can require newer iPadOS versions, compatible hardware or a particular beta build. Use the compatibility information shown in TestFlight for the build you are installing.

1. Install Apple's TestFlight app on your iPad.
2. Open your Nobe OmniScope beta invitation and accept it.
3. Install Nobe OmniScope from TestFlight.
4. Open OmniScope, tap the source selector at the top left, and select **Color Bars** under **Test Signal**.

Color Bars lets you explore the interface without connecting hardware. To try your own picture, choose **Files → Image…** or **Video…** instead.

## Beta access and subscriptions

**Free during the beta. Paid plans at launch.** PRO and Live Pack features available in your build are included at no cost while you test. The full release will offer paid plans, with pricing announced before release. Joining the beta won’t automatically start a paid subscription.

TestFlight builds provide automatic **PRO + Live Pack** beta access, removing live-input watermarks and reminders without starting a subscription. The **Test subscription flow** switch in the badge sheet lets testers exercise demo and purchase behavior; turn it off to restore automatic beta access.

Outside automatic beta access, Image, Video, Color Bars and standard scope tools remain available without a watermark. Live inputs use a demo watermark and dismissible subscription reminders.

* **PRO** removes the live-input watermark and reminders.
* **PRO + Live Pack** includes PRO plus focus peaking, white-balance probe and loudness metering. Qualified dual-input functionality also belongs to Live Pack; the hardware and build limits above still apply.

Monthly and yearly subscriptions within each plan grant the same feature access. Prices and offers appear in the app. Other supported iPads can use the Live Pack tools that do not require M-series hardware.

## Permissions

Allow camera access for built-in camera capture or QR scanning, local-network access for network sources, and microphone access when enabling camera microphone capture. If access was denied, review OmniScope's permissions in iPadOS Settings.
